Affiliate Services

The NC Conservation Network coordinates the following services for our affiliates:

  • News Digest: An electronic media clipping service compiled and distributed each weekday. The Digest covers environmental news stories from over thirty North Carolina media outlets across the state. At the click of a button, the Digest keeps affiliate groups and their designated activists updated on each day’s media coverage of environmental issues, including editorials and letters to the editor.
  • Weekly Alert: E-mail updates on state, agency, board, and commission actions and upcoming decisions. The Alert includes reports and analysis of policies, summaries from key meetings, and updates from other affiliate groups. Posting a notice to the Weekly Alert is a fast and easy way to share information with the NC Conservation Network's over 120 affiliate organizations or to rally support for your campaign work.
  • Legislative Update: A weekly e-mail while the NC General Assembly is in session, which provides comprehensive updates, analysis, and insights into all environmental issues being considered. No matter how far you are from Raleigh, the NC Conservation Network’s Legislative Update keeps you updated on issues that impact your organization.
  • Skills Trainings: The NC Conservation Network works with affiliate organizations to identify desired skills trainings for communities designed to help strengthen the effectiveness of affiliate organizations. The NC Conservation Network works with affiliate organizations to design and set up trainings. Trainings may focus on media, lobbying, campaign planning, coalition building, and organizational development.
  • Tools and Resources: The NC Conservation Network provides our affiliates with a great collection of tools, resources, and training opportunities.   • Annual Conference: A two day event which features presentations from issues experts, previews of upcoming proposals from advocates and elected officials, skills training workshops, networking opportunities, and an opportunity for relaxation and renewal.
  • Convening and Coordinating Coalitions: The NC Conservation Network acts as a catalyst for coordination of community efforts, including linking activists together to form coalitions. The NC Conservation Network brings together various organizations with a similar issue interest to share experiences, identify common concerns, set collective goals, create a campaign plan, and coordinate campaign efforts.
  • Job Listing: Part of the NC Conservation Network's interactive website which provides affiliate organizations with the ability to widely post their job listings. Click here to view the Job Listing Page.
  • Calendar of Events: Also part of the NC Conservation Network's interactive website, a calendar of events which provides a comprehensive look at upcoming environmental activities in NC.   • Online Campaigns: Another part of the NC Conservation Network's interactive website which allows affiliate organizations to post campaigns and have responses sent directly to the appropriate decision-makers. Click here to view the currently posted campaigns.
