Dr. Steingraber, biologist, author and cancer survivor, is an internationally recognized authority on the environmental links to disease. Her latest book, Raising Elijah: Protecting Our Children in an Age of Environmental Crisis, is a moving memoir combined with compelling research.

“Thanks to people like Sandra Steingraber, I do have hope that we can change the course of history for our children. In her most recent book Sandra paints an eye-opening call to action by citing empirical evidence about the number of questionable chemicals allowed in our environment and the impact they are having on all of us, especially our kids. Think ADHD, autism, asthma, cancer, etc. As I read her fact-filled but beautifully written prose, I felt like I was going to burst. We need cleaner air, cleaner water, and cleaner food. If you haven't read Raising Elijah, please do so...sooner than later. There's lots of work to be done, starting now.”
