River Awareness Partnership Day–It's All about Health! Healthy Food, Healthy Body, Healthy Rivers & Healthy Lifestyle! Partnering for a common goal.

Earth Fare will be grilling all natural meats from 11: 00 am –3:00 pm. Raffles tickets will be available to purchase for a number of GREAT prizes donated by Tom's of Maine, REI, Jeff Groves & Earth Fare. Proceeds from the sale of food, drinks & raffles will be donated to CRF.

The Catawba River Keeper Foundation & volunteers will be on site to educate the community about our water sources and the health of our Rivers and streams. CRF works to protect and enhance the Catawba River, its lakes, tributaries and watershed so that it will always sustain the human and wildlife populations that depend on it for life.

REI will conduct hands on interactive workshop for kids. Sign up for the free PEAK (Promoting Environmental Awareness in Kids) presentation. It is an overview of Leave No Trace principles designed for kids age 5-12. The REI PEAK program am was developed as the result of a unique partnership between REI and the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics. Like Leave No Trace, PEAK encourages responsible, non-motorized recreation and enjoyment of public lands. The PEAK program has two primary goals: Increase awareness of Leave No Trace principles &Promote the stewardship of outdoor recreational resources. Join REI for games and discussion points and enter to win great REI raffle prizes!

Jeff Groves will be showcasing & selling his beautiful photographs that document the Catawba River in various stages. Jeff will generously donate 20% of the proceeds from his art sales to the Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation. He will raffle a large framed photograph of the Catawba River at 3:00 pm.
