Join the National Committee for the New River for their Annual Meeting on Saturday, July 26 from 2-5:00pm at the Johnston's River Place in Crumpler, NC.

We'll be celebrating rain or shine with tents on hand. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the afternoon.

Picnic snacks will be provided, along with beer and wine - bring your favorite wine or beer glass. We'll also have soft drinks availabile.

2:00-2:30: Hear our NCNR update of the last year's activities and what's in store for next year. We'll also present the 2008 Wallace & Peggy Carroll Vigilance Awards recognizing outstanding New River service.

2:30-5:00: Enjoy the day and the food and drink, or you can put your boat in the water, or go on a hike -- NCNR and the New River State Park will take us on a walk across the river from the celebration site onto the 640-acre Bower property NCNR protected, which is now owned by the New River State Park.

The Annual Meeting Celebration is free of charge, but we hope you'll plan on supporting NCNR, especially if you're not already a member! We'll also have plenty of NCNR gear for sale.
