DESCRIPTION:Across North Carolina beginning October 1\, more than 100 
 congregations of various faiths are holding public discussions about t
 he moral imperative to fight global warming\, and the hope that action
  now can stop the trend of climate change. <br><br>\n \nCoordinated th
 rough Interfaith Power & Light and the NC Council of Churches’ Clima
 te Connection\, the 100+ congregations are part of a nationwide interf
 aith screening of educational films about global warming\, featuring P
 aramount’s "An Inconvenient Truth\," and HBO’s "Too Hot Not to Han
 dle." <br><br> \n\nThe goal is to educate and engage congregants to ta
 ke personal and group action to reduce greenhouse gases. The public is
  invited to the free screenings.<br><br>\n \n “Spotlight on Global W
 arming” screenings are taking place from Murphy to Misenheimer to Mo
 rehead City\, and in all North Carolina’s largest cities. For a list

 org.<br><br>\n\nNationally the effort is coordinated through Interfait
 h Power & Light’s “Spotlight on Global Warming” which distribute
 s copies of the films and discussion materials. Interfaith Power & Lig
 ht is a nondenominational\, nonpartisan ministry that helps congregati
 ons of all faiths to reduce global warming emissions. Resources for co
