<p>The Project Coordinator is responsible for the overall coordination and
management of a statewide Conservation & Diversity project to increase land
and water protection and promote community health, wealth, and well-being. The
coordinator will work with numerous partners, including the NC Community
Development Initiative, the Black Family Land Trust, The Conservation Fund and
North Carolina’s network of local land trusts and other grassroots
organizations. <br><br>
Responsibilities include project planning, coordination, outreach, grant writing, building partnerships with non-traditional partners and communities to develop new program areas, and coordinating and expanding existing initiatives, including but not limited to: diversity internships, local/sustainable agriculture, organizational diversity training, community gardens, minority landowner outreach, youth environmental education and conservation-based affordable housing.</p>

Project management, facilitation and event coordination skills and experience. Must be self-motivated and have strong collaborative skills. Must have ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines, and to work independently and in project teams. Positive energy and attitude are essential. Conservation and/or community development background a plus.
Compensation is based on experience.
