Under the direction and supervision of the finance director, the successful candidate will be responsible for: administration of financial transactions, accrual accounting records and reporting in compliance with CMLC financial policies, general accounting standards and applicable governmental regulations and accreditation standards; data entry of income, expense, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and semi-monthly payrolls using QuickBooks accounting system; processing grant reimbursement requests and reports within required timeframes; preparing financial reports for board, staff and finance committee; assisting with preparations for annual audit, annual financial reports and government filings; assisting in annual budgeting and long-term financial planning for organization.
Degree in accounting, business management or a related field; experience in and understanding of accounting, bookkeeping, and cash flow management; experience administering federal grants or with the federal AmeriCorps program desirable; outstanding organizational, interpersonal and communication skills; QuickBooks experience, as well as MS Office and office technology skills; commitment to land conservation.
The position is part-time (32 hours per week) and includes benefits. Salary based on experience.
