Conservation Organizer
BA/BS degree in Environmental Studies, Political Science or a closely related field. 1-2 years experience in the environmental field that includes organizing campaigns, press relations and public speaking. Need excellent written and oral communication skills, and proficient computer skills, as well as demonstrated ability and effectiveness working with volunteers.
Commensurate with experience.

The North Carolina Chapter is the state arm of the national organization. NC Sierra Club has been a leading environmental advocacy presence in the state for almost 40 years. Programs include legislative and executive branch advocacy, political action, and litigation. NC Sierra Club has approximately 19,000 members in the state, 13 local groups, an active outings program, and local conservation programs such as “Cool Cities”. The director of development position manages all aspects of the NC Sierra Club’s fundraising program.
