<p>White Oak-New Riverkeeper Alliance is hiring a Director of Operations and Programs. We are looking for someone who has strong writing skills, is detail oriented, highly motivated, self-directed and able to multi-task and set clear priorities and work well with others (including board members, volunteers, and the public). Applicant will spend roughly half his/her time working directly with the executive director on a wide range of daily administrative, research, and organizing tasks related to running a non-profit office, maintaining office systems and supplies, light book keeping (accounts payable and receivable), tasks related to fundraising (such as donor thank you letters, tracking donations, responding to inquiries, etc), and upgrading and maintaining our website, database, and events calendar (no HTML required though strong computer skills preferred). The other half of the position will involve heading up special projects as needed and would involve research, communications, organizing, event planning and special administrative tasks. This will begin as a flexible-time position, requiring a minimum of four days per week in our office. Some telecommuting possible. Position will be filled as soon as ideal candidate is found.
