Award Categories
Organizations may apply for one $10,000 award in one of the following categories. Please choose your category carefully.

Technology

The technology award will be given to an organization that has shown exemplary performance and results in using technology to:

  • improve effectiveness in serving the target population OR
  • improve administrative efficiency thus allowing increased resources to be focused on providing services to the community.

Examples may include using online networking tools to recruit new supporters, creating or using online advocacy tools to contact decision-makers, organizational databases, or online trainings.

Innovation
The innovation award will be given to an organization using innovative programming to serve the target population. What new solutions has the organization created to combat old challenges? Think new and different! Focus your application on what you’ve done that hasn’t been tried before. This category traditionally receives the most applications, so consider applying for this category carefully.

Evaluation
The evaluation award will be given to an organization that has demonstrated success in reporting on outcomes of programs or initiatives. This includes setting up a program that sets meaningful and achievable goals, tracks those goals, reports back what happens, and analyzes the program to reveal what worked, what didn’t, and why.

Award Terms and Conditions
It is the intention of the BCBSNC Foundation and NC Conservation Network to reward proven success in the field. Therefore, projects must be in place a minimum of one year and must demonstrate positive results in order to be considered.

Community TIEs awards are completely unrestricted and may be used at the discretion of the winning organizations.
