We collect personal information in two ways:
When you sign up for Public Alerts: In order to effectively achieve our mission, we collect the names, addresses, phone numbers, and emails of members of the public so that we may alert them about important decisions being made on environmental issues. The information is collected voluntarily through the Public Alerts Sign-Up page. The NC Conservation Network can use this information to alert the subscriber of upcoming decisions or events through emails, phone calls, or mailings.
When you take action in an online campaign: The user supplies their name, street address, email address, and comments through a web form. This information is sent in an email to the target of the campaign (usually a decision-maker) and is concurrently stored in our database.
All information is stored in a secure database and is used only by the NC Conservation Network for internal purposes. We will not share, sell, or rent this information to any outside organization.
Should our practices change, this notice will be immediately updated. Regardless of later updates, we will never use the information you submit under this current notice in a new way (in a way not described in this notice) without first providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prevent that use.
