Rekindle your passion for environmental education and the natural world with like-minded professionals from across the state. Share your story at EENC’s 2019 conference at the Schiele Museum in beautiful Gastonia, NC September 19th – 21st!
This year’s theme “MemorEEs Make US,” celebrating the formative experiences that inspired attendees to become teachers and focusing on strategies to help cultivate memorable learning experiences to inspire all of North Carolina’s students. The conference will feature field trips and workshops for educators, concurrent sessions, professional networking, a night at the museum, and keynote speaker Dr. Carolyn Finney.
Dr. Carolyn Finney is a storyteller, author, and cultural geographer. The aim of her work is to develop greater cultural competency within environmental organizations and institutions, challenge media outlets on their representation of difference, and increase awareness of how privilege shapes who gets to speak to environmental issues and determine policy and action.
