Let’s clean up the French Broad River! TVs, shopping carts, plastic bags, and who knows what other kinds of river trash will all be up for grabs when MountainTrue and Wicked Weed Brewing host a beer series cleanup on June 25 with Hi-Wire Brewing. A special collaboration beer will be released on June 2 at Wicked Weed to raise funds to protect the French Broad, and then we’ll paddle the river on June 25 to collect as much trash as possible — folks who pick up the weirdest trash will win some great prizes! We’ll then host an after-party with beer and snacks at Cascade Lounge on the banks of the river.
Additional Information
Park at Carrier Park and walk down the Greenway to the Cascade Lounge (we’ll have signs along the way to guide you). We then will shuttle up to Hominy Creek, put on the river, and paddle back down to Cascade Lounge.
