Participants will have an opportunity to learn the basics of design using low-impact environmentally friendly methods and technologies. As a sustainability leader for over a quarter of a century, many of these technologies have been implemented on the Catawba College’s Center for the Environment building and other parts of campus. Students will get an opportunity to see first-hand examples, discuss the how and why, and experience hands-on activities in the various ways we can utilize energy directly from the sun.
This is one of eight different workshops that will be offered through the Center for the Environment at Catawba College this summer. To learn about other workshops offered, visit www.catawba.edu/explorations. Applications are required. The cost of each workshop is $50. Financial assistance is available on an as-needed basis.
