We are seeking a motivated and organized Project Coordinator to support our ongoing projects and initiatives. This role involves managing project timelines, coordinating with team members and stakeholders, participating in field work, and ensuring that our goals are met effectively and efficiently. This position will assume the progress of two projects currently funded by the NC Land and Water Fund and other grants. These projects are of cultural significance, and experience working with a variety of underserved communities, including tribal communities, is preferred. There is potential to expand the role to other projects as these progress.
Qualifications
- Experience in wetland, stream restoration, or similar field work. Work is performed outdoors in all temperatures and may be physically arduous or hazardous.
- Experience working on projects that address environmental justice issues, particularly tribal concerns.
- Ability to collect, summarize, analyze, interpret, and communicate complex scientific data effectively to stakeholders.
- Strong project administration skills within a largely independent and remote environment. Ability to prioritize, plan, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including writing regular reports for funding agencies. Experience with grant writing is a plus.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel), and Google Suite
- Proficient in GIS and familiar with other natural science data resources and applications
- Creative and resourceful in a dynamic work environment.
- Experience in data and/or database management and development, or related tech skills is a plus.
Salary/Benefits
Hours: 20 hours per week
Salary: $19-$23 per hour dependent on experience
Location: Remote or in-office (Cary, NC) with occasional site visits and in-person meetings
