Bio
Jaz is a senior Sustainable Development major at Appalachian State University. They are originally from Charlotte, NC and are especially interested in community organizing around sustainability efforts, promoting and advocating for accessible local food systems, and also promoting and advocating for both human and animal rights. They enjoy biking, hiking, snowboarding, as well as listening to and playing live music. Since becoming a fellow, Jaz is adamant about advocating for clean air and water in North Carolina, and expresses great hope in being able to do so effectively on a regional scale.
