The theme is Repairing Our Broken Housing System. Our keynote speaker is Dr. Jenny Schuetz, Vice President of Infrastructure, Housing at Arnold Ventures. Dr. Schuetz has a distinguished record in housing policy as a professor, economist, and author. She is a prolific writer on housing markets and authored the book, Fixer Upper: How to Repair America’s Broken Housing Systems. Her lecture, entitled Fixing the Housing Shortage: Emerging State and Local Solutions, will provide innovative strategies for Raleigh, Wake County, and the Triangle region.
There will be time for socializing over heavy hors d’oeuvres, as well as beer, wine and refreshments from the bar. WakeUP Wake County’s Executive Director Bert Fox, Board Chair Thomas Barrie, RaleighForward’s Director Eric Braun, and CITYBUILDER’s founder Jenn Truman will present plans for education and advocacy priorities in 2026.
