From Waste to Worth brings together haulers, composters, entrepreneurs, finance and equipment experts to dig into real-world financing options for composting in North Carolina ♻️.
Join us in Raleigh (or remotely) on March 24 for an in-depth half-day workshop designed to strengthen financial literacy and business capacity for composting and hauling operations. Hosted by NCCC, USCC, Wanu Organics, and the Compost Capital Network, this program brings together industry leaders, financial experts, and equipment professionals to provide practical tools and real-world insights you can apply immediately to your business. There is a hybrid attendance option for this event, with the option to register as a webinar attendee or in-person.
Participants will gain valuable perspectives from experienced speakers including Jorge Montezuma of Wanu Organics and Compost Capital Network; Shannon O’Shea of Carolina Community Impact; Elizabeth Wilkes of Partner Community Capital; Justin Senkbeil of Compost Now and the Georgia Composting Council; and Archie Griffith, recently retired from Vermeer All Roads, Frank Franciosi, recently retired Executive Director of USCC and Noel Lyons, of McGill Environmental. Sessions will cover financing options, capital readiness, equipment investment considerations, and strategies for sustainable growth.
This workshop also creates space for meaningful networking and direct connections to local and regional lenders, technical assistance providers, and industry partners who can support your next stage of growth. Whether you are launching, expanding, or strengthening your composting or hauling business, this event will equip you with the knowledge, relationships, and resources needed to move forward with confidence.
After the workshop, keep the momentum going for Sustainable Spirits at Lynnwood Brewing Concern! Join us next door for an evening of networking, conversation, and community-building with local leaders, sustainability professionals, and advocates. Sustainable Spirits offers a relaxed setting to continue the day’s discussions, spark new ideas, and connect with others passionate about advancing sustainable solutions across North Carolina—all while enjoying great local brews.
