Description
Carolina Advocates for Climate, Health, and Equity (CACHE) is a North Carolina nonprofit that inspires and activates our network of health professionals and advocates to strengthen community resilience and reduce the health impacts of climate change across the state.
We are seeking an individual who is passionate about the environment, human health, and equity to help us achieve our development goals. Applicants must have a minimum of two years of successful grant writing and fundraising experience.
Contractor position, 20 hours/week.
Responsibilities
- Identify grant opportunities that support CACHE operations, mission, vision, and strategies.
- Write grant proposals with input from CACHE team members.
- Develop content for newsletters, social media, annual reports, and emails focused on developing a donor base.
- Create and implement an annual individual donor plan in concert with the Executive Director.
- Support Executive Director in major donor fundraising.
- Identify and pursue new avenues of revenue, including corporate giving.
Qualifications
Required
- North Carolina Resident.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Proven track record for successful grant writing and individual fundraising.
- A minimum of 2 years experience in nonprofit development work.
- Knowledge of and commitment to principles of racial equity and inclusion with ability to advance equity goals in fundraising and grant writing activities.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Highly organized, motivated, and detail-oriented
- Strong writing skills
- Relationship builder/strong communicator
Strongly Preferred
- Background in Climate-Health-Equity work, or at least one of the these three areas: Climate, Health, or Equity work.
Salary/Benefits
Contractor position: 20 hours/week
Pay rate: $30-/hour
