Creating a Fundraiser on Instagram

For your Instagram story:

1. Tap the + icon in the upper right-hand corner and select “story.”
2. Take a photo or video by pressing the white capture button at the bottom of the screen. You can also select the small square on the bottom left to select a photo or video you’ve saved to your phone. 
3. Once you selected/recorded your photo or video, look at the upper right corner and select the square smiley button. Or you can swipe up from the bottom of your screen.
4. You’ll see several options to add to your story but look for the “Donation” sticker and select it.
5. A suggested list of charities will pop up, but you can search for “NC Conservation Network” in the search bar. 

For your Instagram main feed:

1. Tap the + icon in the upper right-hand corner and select “post.”
2. Take a photo or video by pressing on the white capture button. Or you can select a photo or video from your gallery that you’ve already taken. Once you’ve taken or selected your photo hit the arrow button in the upper right-hand corner. 
3. You’ll then be taken to a page to add a filter or edit the image or video. Once you’re ready to move on, look for the arrow in the same spot as in step two. 
4. You should now be on the screen to add a caption. Below that you’ll see that you can add a fundraiser to your post. Select “Add a Fundraiser” and search for NC Conservation Network.
5. From there you can decide how much you’d like to try and raise. Once you’ve adjusted the amount, select done, and the fundraiser will be added to your post which appears on your feed. 

Creating a Fundraiser on Facebook

1. On your phone, open the Facebook app. For Android users look at the top right or for iPhone users at the bottom right for the menu tab.
2. Scroll to “Community resources” and select “Fundraisers.” Then tap “Create a Fundraiser.”
3. Search for NC Conservation Network in the search bar.
4. You’ll be taken to a page to start editing your fundraiser. You’ll be able to edit the title and the description, but both will be written for you.
5. Select your goal amount, keep the currency as US dollars, and when finished select “Create.”
6. Next, you’ll see a screen where you can invite your friends and family to donate, and share your fundraiser to your news feed.
