Jack Boss

Campus Fellow, UNC Chapel Hill

Bio

Jack is a senior at UNC Chapel Hill majoring in Environmental Health Sciences. His primary interest in the field of environmental health is water quality management, as Jack believes that access to clean water is a basic human right despite it often being taken for granted. He has worked alongside UNC’s Institute for the Environment to test private wells across the state of NC for metallic contaminants, which was an extremely gratifying yet eye-opening experience to the true scale of water scarcity that millions of individuals (not just well users) face each day. In Jack’s free time, he loves singing with his a cappella group, trying new hiking trails, and watching scary movies.
