Description
The Organizing, Communications, and Policy (OCP) Coordinator will strengthen the operational, organizing, and coordination capacity of the network by supporting campaigns, communications, membership processes, and internal systems. This role is essential in ensuring that organizing work is consistent, responsive, and community-centered. Responsibilities include coordination of network activities, administrative and communications support, maintaining organizational systems, and assisting with campaign and event implementation. The OCP Coordinator will report to the Co-director for Organizing and Policy.
Responsibilities
Campaign & Network Coordination
- Support the implementation of network campaigns and collaborative initiatives
- Coordinate across organizations involved in multi-partner campaigns
- Assist with strategic research to support community-driven priorities and emerging issues
Communications & Administrative Support
- Manage and respond to general inquiry emails, including triaging, forwarding, and drafting responses
- Maintain shared workspaces (e.g., CryptPad, Google Drive) and ensure materials are up to date
Membership Development & Support
- Support the development and implementation of membership processes
- Conduct outreach and follow-up with prospective and current members
Events & Convening Coordination
- Support planning and execution of network convenings and the annual Summit
- Assist with outreach and recruitment for events
Website Maintenance
- Update calendar and website content
Relationship Building
- Participate in NCEJN’s all-staff meetings
Qualifications
- A commitment to environmental and social justice, racial equity, and intersectionality.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
- Proficiency in standard office software, mailchimp, and wordpress, and a willingness to learn new platforms as needed.
- Strong work ethic and reliability in completing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to balance independent work with collaborative, shared ownership projects.
- Clear, consistent, and responsive communication style.
- Ability to travel to periodic in-person staff meetings & events, sometimes on weekends or during the evening, and on the 3rd weekend in October for our annual Summit.
Preferred:
- Bilingual in Spanish | English
- Prior experience in project management
Salary/Benefits
This position is a full-time, remote, non-exempt position with a salary of $55,000. All NCEJN employees receive the following annually:
